Some roles or advertisements have very high response levels -- so the initial review of your CV will probably not last any longer than a minute or so. It needs to be easy to read, in a simple word format with a clear career objective tailored to the position you are applying to or registering your interest for.

Here are some key points to include in your CV and must be relative to the role:

  • A Summary of your experience relative to the role.
  • Your objective and what motivates you. Include brief description about your personality. Communication and interpersonal skills are vital – in your CV it is helpful to provide examples of any customer / client relations skills as well as written (Interpersonal skills and Excellent communication skills). Your notice period and why you want to leave your current role or why you left.
  • Education
  • Professional Development, Methodologies and Certifications
  • Major Achievements
  • Employment History
  • Recent Referees
  • For technical roles is is advised you include a Matrix with level of skill and years of experience.

Often different clients require applications in different formats and are interested in specific skills.
